I think that there are at least 1 electric and 2 acoustic guitars in this one. I'm going to show you the chords and a tip or two - you can take it from there. Be sure to visit my tab page in order to understand how I write tablature on the web.

Click here if you want only the lyrics.

TIPS:

A thought: I think that this song was originally recorded in the key of D and then the master tape was slowed down to record the song on the CD - making the resultant recording sound as if the song is in a lower key - Db, in this case . If so, this is what gives the song a heavy type of sound on the bass and drums. The Beatles did the same thing on the recording, "Rain".

All of the song:

Each line counts as 8 beats (count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4).

Most of the chord symbols represent 4 beats - most, not all.

The three note guitar lick in the intro and other parts of the song is (string/fret): 6/4, 6/6, 5/4. Hammer the first two notes (pick once - play two successive tones). Play all 3 notes within a 1/2 beat.

When you see the Db chord, one of the acoustic guitars is playing this on the up-beats for 8 beats (one chord per beat):

Db

1 -|| ------------------------------------------
2 -|| ------------------------------------------
3 -|| --6---x---6---x---|---6---x---6---x---
4 -|| --6---8---6---8---|---6---8---6---8---
5 -|| --4---4---4---4---|---4---4---4---4---
6 -|| ------------------------------------------

When you see the Gb chord, one of the acoustic guitars is playing this on the up-beats for 8 beats (one chord per beat):

Gb

1 -|| --------------------|---------------------
2 -|| --------------------|---------------------
3 -|| --------------------|---------------------
4 -|| --4---x---4---x---|---4---x---4---x---
5 -|| --4---6---4---6---|---4---6---4---6---
6 -|| --2---2---2---2---|---2---2---2---2---

When playing the Db and Gb chords with these fingerings, let your pickin' hand fall gently on the strings on every down-beat - this makes it easier playing chords on the up-beats as well as adding some percussive effects. Your pickin' hand should make a light thud sound on every down-beat. If you can't quite play the 3 note chords, make sure that you at least are playing the two lower strings for each chord.

The intro - play two times:

Db

1 -|| -----------------------|-------------------------
2 -|| -----------------------|-------------------------
3 -|| -----------------------|-------------------------
4 -|| --6---8---6--------4-|----6---8---6---8------
5 -|| --4---4---4---4-6----|---4---4---4---4-------
6 -|| ------------------------|--------------------------
